To get shiny in Big Walk, find the hidden paint studio in the tunnel network and have another player paint you bronze, silver or gold. This unlocks Big Makeover on Steam. The ordinary paint station near the start does not contain those metallic options. [gs-shiny] [steam-achievements]

Open the tunnels first

Complete the Yellow Tower by bringing five red puzzle rewards to its top. Take the released key through its marked cutting stations and use it at the tunnel entrance. Bring a flashlight, or pick up the one at an entrance, before following the underground route. [polygon-shiny]

Route from the yellow tunnel entrance

  1. Enter the yellow tunnel and turn right immediately.
  2. Follow the route into the room resembling a nightclub.
  3. At the back, opposite the DJ area, take the path with a doorway on the left.
  4. Continue through the red-to-green corridor. At the fork, choose the red path on the right.
  5. Continue through the green section without dropping into the opening on the left.
  6. Reach the purple room with red arches and follow the ramps downward.
  7. At the apparent dead end with a circular recess, approach it and find the ramp leading farther down to the paint station. [polygon-shiny]

The side drop leads toward a satchel; taking it interrupts this route and means finding your way back. Keep a teammate with the flashlight while another checks the path ahead.

Paint each other

The hidden station adds the three metallic colors. Have a friend use the brush on your character, then swap roles so each player who wants the achievement receives the paint. You cannot apply it to yourself. [gs-shiny]

If you only see the familiar starting palette, you are at the wrong station. If one friend gets the achievement and another does not, check who was actually painted. Unlocking the room is not the achievement’s final action.

Getting shiny is optional for the ending. GameSpot documents a group reaching full completion before doing it. Players on Switch can still use the cosmetic colors without treating Steam’s achievement notification as their success check. [gs-shiny]
