Big Walk on Mac: Steam and App Store requirements

Big Walk is available on Mac through Steam and the Mac App Store, but their published system requirements differ. Join a session from the App Store version

Ask the host for the current Join Code and session password. The App Store release does not support Game Center, so a missing Game Center friends lobby is not a connection error. Crossplay is still supported. ^[faq]

Fix missing or distorted audio

If the game cannot receive your microphone, inspect macOS Privacy & Security → Microphone permissions. Test the input indicator in the game’s audio settings after enabling access.

For poor audio on Mac, House House notes that graphics and sound can compete for resources and suggests lowering graphics settings. Wired headphones are another option when troubleshooting a Bluetooth audio setup. Change one thing at a time so you can tell which change helped. ^[faq]
