The latest entry in Big Walk’s official version history is 1.5.1, checked on September 7, 2026. It adds separate audio-volume sliders and fixes an older-save problem where a completed challenge could reset and become impossible to finish. [history]
| Area | Official change | Practical effect |
|---|---|---|
| Audio | Separate volume sliders for sound categories | Adjust the mix more precisely |
| Older saves | Fix for a reset challenge in saves from before 1.4.9 | Affected groups can update before retrying the challenge |
| Networking | Clearer distinction between slow and unstable connections | Warnings better describe the symptom |
| Session access | Clearer password wording and failed-input handling | Joining errors are easier to interpret |
| Objects and visuals | Fixes involving clipping, held objects, shadows and lighting | Corrects specific interaction and display faults |
The notes also include an amplifier range change and a higher character limit for CJK text. Read the complete official history for individual fixes. This summary does not treat bug fixes as new regions or a new campaign. [history]
The developer’s version-history page does not date each entry. The Mac App Store lists version 1.5.1 on August 29, 2026. That is a confirmed date for that store listing, not evidence that every platform received the patch at the same moment. [mac]
The official FAQ still mentions an older latest-version number in its troubleshooting text. For the current published change list, the version-history page is the stronger reference.
Update the game on each device, then compare versions. House House says the first two numbers need to match for multiplayer; the last number may differ. Resume with the same host to keep the group’s progress. [faq]

If a problem remains, record the actual error and version instead of assuming the patch was not installed. The connection guide separates session details, host readiness and network symptoms.
