Identify the microphone with balanced sound, use a clear signal, and fill the stage’s progress meter.
For the Big Walk microphone puzzle with six stands and a headphone chair, the seated player identifies which microphone produces clear, balanced sound. The teammate at that stand presses its button. Repeat the test until the meter fills and the reward is released. [polygon-microphones] [quest-microphones]
Look for a red platform, a chair with headphones, and six microphone stands behind it. Polygon places it west of the Yellow Tower, south of a radio station. This guide is for that stage, rather than every puzzle involving a speaker or a remote listening device. [polygon-microphones]
With two players, the speaker walks between stands. A larger group can divide the stands among speakers, but should still test them in sequence so the listener knows which one they are judging.
Check that both ears of the listener’s real headphones work before repeating the puzzle. Use a simple repeated phrase while comparing stands. The goal is a reliable comparison, not louder speech from everyone at once.
If no voice is received anywhere, check the in-game microphone activity indicator, mute mode and input settings. On Mac, check microphone permission; on PS5, check the system’s game-chat mute setting. Those checks come from the official audio help. [faq]
Successful rounds fill the meter; the completed challenge releases its reward with confetti. If the hearing task is inaccessible to someone, the host can enable challenge skipping in the session’s accessibility menu. [quest-microphones] [faq]
