Big Walk is available on PS5 and requires online play and PlayStation Plus according to its PlayStation Store listing. It supports up to 12 online players and crossplay with the other supported systems. Check these requirements before purchasing it for a local-only evening. [ps5] [faq]

Before starting on PS5

RequirementWhat to check
Game accessYour account owns or currently has access to Big Walk
Online membershipPlayStation Plus is active for the required online play
GroupAt least two people are available for the intended adventure
Compatible versionsThe first two parts of the game version match

The US store listed $19.99 for purchase on September 7, 2026. Store entitlements and prices can vary by region or membership, so inspect your own listing rather than relying on an older promotion. [ps5]

Join a friend’s world

Have the host start the world. If you do not see that friend’s active game in the platform list, use the current Join Code from Session Details, along with the session password. Crossplay does not require the host to use another PS5. [faq]

Keep the same host for later sessions, because that host stores the group’s progress. When the host ends a session, the other players are disconnected.

If game voices are missing

House House specifically calls out a PS5 setting: open the system Sound menu and turn Mute Game Voice Chat off. Then stand near a teammate in the game and test again. Distance can legitimately make voices fade, so test nearby before diagnosing a fault. [faq]

You can also use the game’s text chat. It follows the same in-world distance and soundproofing rules as voice. For a connection failure rather than an audio failure, use the timeout checklist.

The official support list names PS5. It does not announce a PS4 version. Compare the other released versions on the platform page if someone in your group has different hardware. [faq]
